Kandice Swarthout, RDH, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Dental Hygienist. She is a full-time dental hygiene educator in Texas. Kandice is the owner of Inspired Education & Wellness where she is a speaker, writer, and private practice therapist. She combines her clinical dental and mental health experience to help other healthcare professionals have a fulfilling work-life experience. Dustin Bortzfield
Dustin Bortzfield is a commissioned peace officer, paramedic , and fire investigator. He has been a first responder for over 20 years and has extensive experience in crisis intervention and emergency response. Dustin completed his peace officer training at Tarrant County Junior College in Fort Worth, Texas and Paramedic certification at Methodist Dallas. He currently works as a fire investigator. He holds certifications in Fire Instructor I and II. Dustin runs a non-profit that brings holiday cheer to families that have suffered a hardship. Kristin Hunter
Kristin Pristavec-Hunter was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. Her first job was working for her childhood dentist as a dental assistant. After earning her degree in dental hygiene from Rio Salado College in Phoenix, Kristin navigated the dental industry. She worked with various doctors and gained insight and experience with cutting-edge tools and processes along the way.
Recognizing a need for both personal and professional growth, Kristin returned to school to earn her bachelor's degree in Communication. She also served on the board of the Northern Nevada Hygiene Association for six years, including a stint as president.

Sophia is the Founder of Empowerment Driven by Knowledge Coalition (EDKC), a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 and L2E Industries. EDKC manages a statewide awareness campaign on Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence titled #GETLOUDGETOUT. Her tireless efforts to raise awareness around domestic violence and sexual abuse led to being commissioned a “Yellow Rose of Texas Award" in 2016 which is given through the Office of the Governor to recognize women for their significant contributions to their communities' and to Texas in the preservation of Texas history, the accomplishments of our present, and the building of the future. Sophia has authored two books “Sophia I’m Back” and “Taking My Life Back” 9 Week Study Guide detailing her own journey of survival and helping others to overcome their adversities.
